Notes from the coach

This course is designed for children who have played tennis before and able to achieve a rally of 10 consistently with a good understanding of the fundamental techniques. In this session we will continue to work on your agility, balance, co-ordination and speed but introducing this into tennis specific movements. This will help improve your all round performance on the tennis court. We will ensure the fundamental techniques are maintained and start to learn basic tactics within points. We will spend a lot of time developing the overarm serve to ensure all children are comfortable with starting a point. The main aim for this course to give your child the confidence to be able to play and score a match. Sessions will be 55 minutes long to allow for 5 minutes turnover between sessions. This gives you a chance to touch base with the coach if you have any questions at the end of the session. Please only select member price if your child is a Junior member at Felixstowe Tennis Club.
