Monthly message from Club Chairman

Dear MLTC members,

It’s great to see so many enjoying tennis once again, including playing (Covid-safe) league matches, as we start to return to normal.  If you have not yet tried out league tennis but fancy giving it a go, please let the Club Captain (Sam Alasfar) or Vice-Captain (Di Carroll) know.

A big shout out for Richard Midgley who braved the rain and helped clear overgrown plants and rock debris on the first Thursday of May. If you have time, your help really would be appreciated on first Thursdays of the month at 3:00pm as we plan to clear more of the site…..many hands make light work!

We all need to know how the Defibrillator works in case we have a courtside cardiac-related emergency:

  • Ring 999.
  • Locate Defibrillator on the outside wall of the Squash Club.
  • Give code on box to the ambulance service.
  • They will give you the access code to open the Defibrillator and will talk you through using it.
  • Let’s hope we never need this information!

We are planning a Junior Singles Tournament on Saturday 10 July and a Junior Doubles Tournament on Saturday 17 July. Mark Franklin, Club Coach, has basic details - please see him if you know a Junior who would wish to play in either tournament.

As always, if you would like to raise any matter regarding the club, please  email or talk to one of your Committee Members.
