Monthly message from Club Chairman

As you will all know by now, we are once again playing social tennis and have been preparing for the start of the league season by holding practice sessions. It’s great to see so many members enjoying tennis again and the club is looking in good condition, but there are always jobs to be done to keep it looking at its best. Whilst we do have Drew as our groundsman, he can only work limited hours and there is an abundance of jobs to be done, especially during the growing season. We have a large estate to maintain and, in order to keep costs down, we would welcome some help with overall maintenance on a monthly basis.  That way, we can keep on top of the jobs and ensure that we only have small tasks that don’t grow scarily large through a little neglect.

So, we are requesting a band of helpers who can get together on the first Thursday of the month to tackle the list of jobs to be done. We aim to start on Thursday 6th May at 3:00pm for an hour and perhaps we could play some social tennis afterwards for another hour before the Men’s Team practice/matches.  If you can spare a little time and can help, please do come along and lend a hand. After all, many hands make light work!
