  • Ensure you take all your belongings with you at the end of the session and do not leave anything on court.

  • To ensure a court is available on your arrival you MUST book a court session. DO NOT turn up to play speculatively.
  • Each session is a maximum of 1 hour 30 mins.
  • Both singles play and doubles play is now permitted with people from outside of your household, as long as you remain 2 metres apart as far as possible – meaning that four people from different households can now play doubles.

  • Access to the courts is via the combination padlock. Code number will be on the booking confirmation email. Do NOT give this code to non-members.
  • Please take antibacterial spray and spray the court gate padlock and gate handle before opening and once you have locked up.
  • Players should use their own equipment where possible and should not share equipment i.e. towels
  • Players do not need to use their own clearly marked tennis balls - however, if you choose to use shared balls then extra care must be taken to ensure you do not touch your face during play, and you should clean your hands before play and immediately after finishing.
  • Ensure that balls do not switch between courts i.e. only play with balls that you have taken down and do not pick up balls that come across from the other court.
  • When returning other people’s balls do not touch them with your hands – use your racquet/foot to hit/kick them back.
  • Avoid using and touching other equipment such as net handles and the net measure.
  • The nets will be set at the correct height so do not attempt to wind up or down before/after playing.
  • Clean and wipe down your equipment, including racquets and water bottles before and after use.
  • The courtside seating is not to be used unless necessary for medical purposes.

  • Wait until your court is free before entering the courts.
  • Please finish promptly and leave the courts and site promptly.
  • Allow others to leave before you enter the court – and if you need to wait then do so away from the courts and clear of the gates.
  • Do not congregate after playing. No extra-curricular or social activity is permitted.
  • The booking system will be reviewed regularly and may be subject to change.

  • All children playing must be accompanied by an adult. The adult must be on court at all times to ensure the child complies with all rules. Please note that the maximum number of people on the courts at any one time, whether playing or not, cannot exceed 12.

Tennis is one of the few sports that the Government has allowed to be played and we must all be aware of our responsibilities if we wish to ensure that we are able to continue to play.
