COVID-19 RULES

Mandatory Rules in force during the Coronavirus situation, please read:

HEALTH

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, you should follow the Government’s ‘test and trace’ guidelines, which can be read on the Gov.uk website.

  • Do not play or go down to the courts if you are self-isolating. 
  • Ensure you take your own drinks.
  • Ensure you take your own hand sanitiser. Use regularly, and before and after touching something that other people may have touched.
  • If you sneeze or cough, do so into a tissue or upon your sleeve. If a tissue is used take it home. Do not put it in the bin. 
  • Follow Public Health England guidelines for hygiene at all times. 

BEFORE LEAVING HOME & AFTER YOU RETURN 

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before leaving home to go to the court (or use an alcohol gel if washing hands is not possible).

TRAVELLING TO AND FROM THE COURT 

  • As far as possible, please maintain social distancing and practice public health advice for hygiene. 
  • Ensure you take all your belongings with you at the end of the session and do not leave anything on court.
  • Ensure all gates are locked up once leaving the site unless other members are down.

TENNIS ACTIVITY 

  • To ensure a court is available on your arrival you MUST book a court session. DO NOT turn up to play speculatively.
  • Each session is a maximum of 1 hour 30 mins.

 

EQUIPMENT & FACILITIES 

  • Access to the courts is via the combination padlock. Code number will be on the booking confirmation email. Do NOT give this code to non-members.
  • Players should use their own equipment where possible and should not share equipment i.e. towels
  • Clean and wipe down your equipment, including racquets and water bottles before and after use.
  • Alcohol sanitiser must be used after touching any shared surface.
  • The use of face masks whilst in the clubhouse is encouraged.
  • When using the clubhouse, please open the doors & windows to provide good ventilation.
  • Wipe down all touch points within the clubhouse after use e.g. kettle, fridge, taps etc.

COURT BOOKING

  • A booking may be made for a minimum of 30mins and a maximum of 1hr30mins.
  • You can only book 2 sessions per day.
  • Each member may only be on court for a maximum of 2 sessions per day.
  • You can only book up to a maximum of 14 days in advance.
  • Wait until your court is free before entering the courts.
  • Please finish promptly and leave the courts promptly.
  • Allow others to leave before you enter the court – and if you need to wait then do so away from the courts and clear of the gates.
  • The booking system will be reviewed regularly and may be subject to change. 
  • Ensure all gates are locked up once leaving the site unless other members are down.
  • All children playing must be accompanied by an adult. The adult must be on court at all times to ensure the child complies with all rules. 


COVID -19  Positive Test - Club Procedures

 Court Booking Sessions:

  • Other than for Club Afternoons/ Nights, members must book a court using the club court booking facility
  • Should the club be contacted by NHS Test & Trace, relevant members can be traced by referring back to court booking page

Club Afternoons/ Nights

  • All attendees should either register their attendance on the MDTC WhatsApp group, or alternatively ask another member to register them on their behalf
  • Within 24 hours, a volunteer committee member will circulate, via email, a collated list of attendees to the Club Secretary cc’ing all committee members
  • Attendance lists will be kept for a minimum of 21 days to assist NHS Test & Trace if needed

Coaching:

  • The club coach will keep a keep a record of all coaching attendees for a minimum of 21 days to assist NHS Test & Trace if needed
