Medbourne Tennis Club

Situated in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside within Medbourne village the tennis club enjoys excellent facilities as part of the thriving Medbourne Sports and Social Club. The tennis club has three floodlit courts and the use of the sports club house with excellent facilities, whether it be for a club event or league matches.

We are an LTA affiliated venue, run by and for our members, providing social and competitive tennis for all ages and abilities, with a range of membership packages available. The club also has an inclusive social scene centered around the clubhouse events and the licensed bar.

The club runs an on line booking system which enables members to view the bookings schedule for availability and then to book. Both court bookings and use of floodlights are free to members.

As an LTA accredited club, there is the reassurance that the club has been recognised for providing registered coaches with a track record of achieving high level standards. 

The club has an agreement with R2R tennis to provide coaching for members led by Richard Wilson, this is a developing programme of coaching for adults and juniors which includes group coaching as well as individual sessions.

Paul Hutchinson also provides individual and group sessions for members.

A number of the club's coaching sessions are open to non members, this is indicated on the  coaching pages of the website and the fees are set by the coach.
 

The inclusive social tennis scene runs around club mornings and club nights which can run throughout the year as floodlights are on hand. 

For those who wish to play competitive tennis: the club runs in house tournaments from May through to October. The club enters a number of teams into the annual Leicestershire Leagues, this year the club has registered one men's, two ladies and one mixed team in the 2024 summer league and one ladies team in the winter league. The club enjoys a a dedicated committee chaired by Paul Coyle who all have the best interests of the members, in their focus at all times. The club welcomes new members of all ages, our packages offer something for everyone and are real value for money.
