12 players took part in the annual Michael Batchelor Tournament on Saturday 1st October.  Despite a brief spattering of rain the weather held and all 5 rounds were able to be played.  The outright winners with 20 points were Ralph Betts & Jim Murty who lifted the trophy and a bottle of wine each.  The scores were very close for the rest of the field, Kath Betts & Sue Davies just pipping Gunnar Brander & Christine Knight 13 points to 12 to take the runners up prizes of boxes of Cadbury's chocolate fingers.
