2021 Minety Open MIxed

The 2021 Minety Open Mixed Tennis Tournament was played in good weather on private courts around the village and the neighbouring area, with the finals at Minety Tennis Club.  The Tournament, voted as Wiltshire’s best for the last three years (COVID free), raised just under £2,500 for the Nelson Trust, a local charity that helps to change the lives of people who have suffered from addiction and trauma.

The winners of the Championship and the Ruth Jenner Cup were Claire Gibbs and Tak Chung Ho with Diane and Shane Horsell as runners-up.  The D&J Sports Plate winners were Jo Adams and Dan Horsell and the runners-up were Jackie Roche and Neil Askins.

Planning is underway for the 2022 Competition and we would love to welcome you to our Club on Saturday 16th July for a great day of tennis.  If you are interested in playing next year’s event and would like to be included in the mailing list then please visit the Open Mixed page of our website https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/MinetyTennisClub/OpenMixed and sign-up to our mailing list.

If you would like to know more about the fantastic work that The Nelson Trust undertake or offer your support then please visit their website.

Many thanks to our generous sponsors and the owners of the courts who were kind enough to let us use them for the day.
