2019 Open Mixed

The 2019 Minety Open Mixed Tennis Tournament was played in beautiful weather on private courts around the village and the neighbouring area, with the finals at Minety Tennis Club.  The Tournament, voted as Wiltshire’s best for the last two years, raised just under £2,500 for the Nelson Trust, a local charity that helps to change the lives of people who have suffered from addiction and trauma.

The winners of the Championship and the Ruth Jenner Cup were Sass Joyce and Ben Langley with Alexa Mills and Ethan Gunton as runners-up.  The D&J Sports Plate winners were Claire Morgan and Neil Askins and the runners-up were Rachel Snowball and George Brooks.

Planning is underway for the 2020 Competition and we would love to welcome you to our Club on Saturday 11th July for a great day of tennis.  If you are interested in playing next year’s event and would like to be included in the mailing list then please visit the Open Mixed page of our website https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/MinetyTennisClub/OpenMixed and sign-up to our mailing list.

If you would like to know more about the fantastic work that The Nelson Trust undertake or offer your support then please visit their website.

Many thanks to our generous sponsors and the owners of the courts who were kind enough to let us use them for the day.
