What can you expect?
At the Green stage, children enjoy playing tennis on a full size court. Coaches will help children to grow their game to play with variety and will continue to improve their tactical awareness whilst refining technique. Children will become more autonomous and accept greater responsibilities.
Notes from the coach
Mini Tennis LTA Youth. Children aged between 3-10 years can get stuck into the world of tennis with this exciting programme from the LTA. Featuring shorter courts, nets, rackets and a soft, low bouncing balls, Mini Tennis provides the perfect introduction to tennis for young children. There are 4 stages of Mini Tennis, Blue, Red, Orange and Green, each with their own court size and ball type. This tailored approach enables players to develop vital skills and techniques at an early age. Mini Tennis Green is a great way for players to continue their progress from Mini Tennis Orange and is for children aged 9-10 years. Players can now put their technique and skills into practice on a full size court with a faster ball which will help to develop all aspects of their game. There are also individual and team competitions with scoring extended to short sets.
