Pitch perfect

As NPL Sports Club members and visitors know, the pitches and tennis courts are always in tip-top condition. That's no accident - it's all down to the hard work, care and expertise of the grounds staff.

As a result, we're delighted to announce that the dedication of the team has been recognised with Sean Cummings (NPLSC Head Groundsman) and Warren Carr (Assistant Groundsman) being nominated for Grassroots Sports Grounds Team of the Year Award.

Recognition where it's due 

This national award recognises exceptional work and is given to teams whose grounds are judged to be of a very high standards. 

Many clubs and sports grounds are nominated and the NPL Sports Ground team have already done brilliantly to reach this stage where they will be battling it out with 2 other finalists - Chorley Panthers RLFC, Lancashire and Rugby Town Junior FC, Rugby.

And the winner is...

... going to be announced on November 2nd at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham.

We'll be keeping our fingers crossed and wishing Sean and Warren the very best of luck.
