It was an interesting night at Longthorpe for the B Team, we ventured to Peterborough expecting a close encounter but it was not the case.

John and Colin started their first match against Longthorpe first pairing before three points into the second game one of their opponents pulled up with an injury that would rule him out for the evening guaranteeing us at least a draw.

Mark and Tim were so close to securing the win in their first set before the young Harry and experienced Martin had a big comeback to take the first set on a tie break and then followed up by taking the second set.

Colin and John started well against the second pairing taking the first set 6-2 with some big serves from John and some guile by his partner.

The second set was a little closer as the Longthorpe pairing searched for a consolation set but the Needingworth pair finished them off at 7-5 

Overall a very good 6-2 albeit to injury giving them their first win on the road for nearly two seasons
