The club has passed its safeguarding and welfare audit, achieving and exceeding in many places the standards required by the LTA.

The results of the audit reflect the the committment and hard work of the Julie Buckland, the Club Welfare Officer, much of whose work goes on behind the scenes.

From October 2018 all LTA registered venues are required to meet five minimum safeguarding standards.  The role of regional safeguarding office is to conduct audits of LTA registered venues, to ensure that not only are the minimum safeguarding standards being met, but that venues are supported to identify areas where they can further improve.

Preparation for the audit started in September 2019, was followed with a survery of members  and finished with an on-site audit which took place on Wednedsay 9th October 2019.

The results of the audit are now in  and the offical result is Green - minimum standards achieved with no follow up required un til the next audit

The audit concluded:

Strong leadership has been most certainly demonstrated by ALL relevant persons to embed safeguarding at this venue. Every aspect of the minimum standards has either been achieved or exceeded.

There is an evident and continuing willingness to maintain safeguarding standards and the continued implementation of the Minimum Standards.

The good work of all concerned is commended and personally appreciated. Well done and thank you.
