A new tennis programme at Liss Junior School got off to a flying start this week.

The 8-week programme, which started on Monday 26th  February, is a collaboration between Newman Collard (Liss) Tennis Club, Liss Junior School and Generation Tennis.

The first session, like all the others to follow, took place as planned in the school hall  and was unaffected by the freezing weather and cold temperatures that hit the country. Year 5 and 6 pupils provided the willing participants and were put through their paces with a series of warm ups and games that introduced them to racket and ball skills and stroke-play.

The funding for the tennis programme has been provided in part by the Festival Coaching Fund administered by Newman Collard (Liss) Tennis Club.
