Chidekh Captures Norwich M25 ITF Title At Easton

World No. 200 Clement Chidekh captured the Lexus Pro Series Norwich M25 tournament title on Sunday at Easton College Tennis Centre.

Chidekh defeated Jersey’s Stuart Parker 6-3, 7-6(6) in Sunday’s final. The 23-year-old Frenchman did not drop a set in five matches during the week.

“Ending my season in Norwich has been great,” said Chidekh, after he captured the 10th pro title of his career. “The level of tennis was very high for the first edition of the M25 here. We were also put in the best conditions by the organiser, who fully understood our needs.

“I am really happy to triumph and get through some difficult situations in the last three matches. I wish all the best to Barry [Fulcher] and everyone involved in the tournament and for future editions!”

Chidekh has won four ITF Men’s World Tour titles in 2024 and also his first ATP Challenger Tour event in Glasgow. The right-hander has a 64-26 match record this season.

Tournament Director Barry Fulcher said, “It’s been great to bring an event of this stature to such a great facility in Easton College Tennis Centre in Norwich. The last few years has seen an increase in higher level events running in the city and it’s been fantastic to take that a step further this week with an ITF World Tennis Tour event.

“The calibre of player has been strong throughout the week, and today we have seen a worthy winner in top seed Clement Chidekh. A big thanks to all at the College, who have welcomed players, coaches, parents, officials and spectators, each of whom have played their part in a superb week of tennis.”

Parker, 27, beat three seeds – France’s Jules Marie, Michael Geerts of Belgium and Briton Charles Broom – en route to the Norwich M25 final.

In the doubles final, played on Saturday, third seeds Geerts and Estonia’s Johannes Seeman overcame top-seeded Bulgarian Antony Genov and Filippo Romano of Italy 6-3, 6-3.
