We hope you are enjoying the fabulous new TigerTurf courts - feedback so far has been nothing but positive!
If you haven't yet made it down to the club to play on the new courts then we encourage you to do so...not just for the experience, but because the best thing we can do to help the courts settle fully is to PLAY ON THEM!
We would love to capture everyone's first reactions to playing on the new surface, and generally gather feedback a bit more formally. If you could take a moment to write a comment in the notebook that we have left on the main table in the clubhouse, that would be very helpful! Alternatively send us a message at orchardtennisclub@gmail.com!
A few important housekeeping / health & safety requests for you to kindly note before you come and play:
- Please keep to paths and hardstanding areas. Stay off the "grass" and be sure to use the mats provided at the court thresholds. This is all VITAL, as the grounds have taken a bashing and we need to avoid getting mud on the courts. Please explain what is required to your children and ensure they are supervised at all times, thank you.
- There is hazard tape around, restricting access to some areas - please be careful and respect the restrictions.
- Only wear proper, non-marking, tennis shoes. No football boots or similar, and definitely no spikes!
- Courts should be locked up the same way as before - we are using the old padlocks.
- Benches cannot be returned to the courts until the tarmac has cured fully, in a few months' time.
- Generally, please take great care on the site. Be especially careful coming over the threshold at the entrance as the ground is under repair and may present a trip hazard.
