The tournament is held every year at Hoddesdon tennis club and has potential prize money of £150 for the winning pair!  This year Jamie Simmonds and Ashleigh Cattle, Stuart Leech and Danielle West represented Orchard.  Erin Howard also made an appearance with a ringer! 

After some intense group stage matches both Jamie and Ashleigh, Stuart and Danielle managed to get through to the quarter finals of the knock out competition.  Both pairs again secured victory in their quarter final matches and ended up meeting each other in the semi finals - one pair guaranteed in the final.  After a close fought match with just a single break of serve Jamie and Ashleigh managed to edge the victory 7-5 and progressed to the final against a strong pair from Radlett.  The final was close fought with Jamie and Ashleigh getting off to a roaring start going 4-1 up...however it wasnt to last as the pair from Radlett turned up the heat and came back to win 6-4. 

Well done to all involved on a scorching hot day!  The tournament was really enjoyed by all 21 pairs who entered from various clubs around Hertfordshire!
