The Dunlop Calderdale Tennis League U13s Junior Championships 2021 took place today at Park TC, with the trophies being shared between four separate clubs.

Players arranged earlier rounds themselves and then came together to play the semi-finals and finals at Park.

Ava Rooke was Park's only representative in this age group. Ava was introduced to tennis when Salterlee School brought classes for their PE lessons. She has continued to play at the club and has been coached by Kevin Hart since then.

Ava's sister, Ruby, is also a promising player and the family have a long running family doubles competition with Dad, Alistair, and Ruby claiming they normally win against Ava and mum, Karen!
