Organising our Centenary Open Day on Bank Holiday Monday, 4th May, brought together many parents with their families and friends on the courts. By offering 100 free memberships to primary school children, we aimed to create a community of tennis players, and we succeeded.
The Centenary Open Day featured free coached tennis tasters for all ages, games, challenges, and free refreshments. As a result, we were able to welcome several families—many new to the game—into our community of players, with several parents and children taking up membership and enrolling on coaching courses following the event.
Thank you to all who attended the event, and a special thanks to our member volunteers who supported the day and made it a memorable occasion in the history of Park Tennis Club.
