The Team Player of the Year trophy was introduced in 2024 in memory of Irene McLoughlin, a long-standing member and President of Park Tennis Club.

Criteria for winning this coveted trophy had to be someone who had a proven track record of:

• being valuable to the team(s) in terms of results
• going over and above to help out the teams during the season
• being regularly available
• lifting the team, demonstrating true Park spirit
• making life easy for the selectors and other team members
• taking on a difficult role during the season for any team

In 2024, the trophy was unanimously awarded to Dominic Simpson for his performance and results in both Mixed and Men's and for helping the club achieve its most successful season in a decade.

The judges also appreciated Dominic's availability during the season, which made life easy for the selectors.

Well done, Dominic!  A truly deserved award!
