Following the success of Margaret Bottomley's Discover Hove Edge walk at the end of October, Park Tennis Club are ruinning a similar event for members, their friends and families.  The walk is suitable for children, and well-behaved dogs are also welcome to join in.

Meeting up at Ogden Water car park at 1pm on Sunday 8th January 2023 the walk will take you down the dam head where our guide, Chris Freeman, will give a short talk on the history of the reservoir projects through the ages. Chris is an ex Yorkshire Water employee involved in the upgrading of the dam in the late 70s.

The walk and talk, via Ogden Kirk and Skirdon Clough, is flat apart from the start and finish where there's a gentle incline. It's approximately 45 to 60 minutes long and ends at the Causeway Foot Inn, where children, well-behaved dogs and muddy boots are always made welcome.

Ogden is a unique dam despite its apparent ordinary appearance.  It has a fascinating and somewhat mysterious history which you will learn more about on the day.
