Saturday 26 October to Friday 1 November 2019

This five day tennis holiday will include 15 hours of coaching on Croatian clay courts with two professional coaches.  A parent or guardian must accompany each player; other family members including non-playing juniors are invited to come and make a holiday out of it too.  The objective is to enthuse our juniors with a lifelong love of tennis, as well as to experience the culture of a beautiful and special part of Croatia.

Details yet to be confirmed but may include:

• Clay courts at two different Croatian clubs, including Umag – a coastal tennis academy that is used by the LTA as one of its international training bases;
• Coaching, drills, points, for three hours per day (either 9am-12pm or 90 min in morning, lunch, then 90 min afternoon);
• Croatian juniors from the local club to play with our Pensford juniors;
• Indoor courts provided if necessary;
• Mini-bus transfers to and from airport may be arranged as a shared cost as very few flights so most likely everyone will be on the same plane;
• Additional trips during non-playing tennis time may be decided together with travelling parents/guardians;
• There are beautiful coastal and inland hilltop towns as well as trying out the local cuisine (see links below).
• Porec also has its own waterfront.
• Discount for junior players of the same family but must be of similar standard.

 
Cost of £425 includes two coaches, balls, courts, and accommodation for each junior player.  Food and flights are not included (flights are £95 return from Stansted to Trieste currently and must be arranged by the parent/guardian).  Additionally, for each non-player and parents/guardians, the accommodation cost is 25 Euros per night (plus transport, food, and excursions at each person’s choice).

Accommodation for junior players and their parent(s) is in self-catering, spacious, one or two bedroom apartments in Porec (in the words of one travel specialist “like Tuscany as it was before it was famous”).  Junior players will be able to walk to the tennis courts.

A parent or designated guardian is responsible for their junior player during international travelling to and from Porec.  During non-playing tennis time it is the parent’s responsibility to look after their junior player but Dragan can help organise other excursions. 

A deposit of £150 for each participating junior is payable in advance to secure a place please.  Pensford Tennis Club members 11 years old and over will be given priority booking.  Pensford Tennis Club does not accept any liability in connection with the trip.
