The Pensford Tennis Club Championships take place annually, with paid up members encouraged to enter as many events as possible.

2020 Club Championships
Entries to this year’s club championship are now CLOSED for 2020.. The tournament will run from 18th September with finals day on 1st November . Sign up here. Normally entries cost £3 per event or £6 if you enter all three competitions (e.g/ ladies singles, doubles and mixed doubles). This year there will be no charge due to the disruption members have put-up with during the season.
The winners of each competition in the club championships will be presented with one of the following trophies to retain for one year:
- Ladies’ doubles - The Beryl and Bernard Coombs ladies’ cup
- Mens doubles-TBC
- Mixed doubles - The Coombs twins mixed doubles challenge shield
- Trophies for the men’s and ladies’ singles.
Rules for Club Championships
Matches follow the Avon League Tennis format i.e. two sets to six games with a tie break if necessary and if a third set is required, players must agree to play a champions tie break (to ten) or a third full set - view a copy of the rules.
