PTC closed

Following guidance from the LTA and the Government our outdoor courts will be closed effective from Wednesday, March 25th for at least the next 3 weeks or until the lockdown is relaxed.

The absolute priority of everyone in Britain needs to be protecting the health of the nation, with a requirement to adjust our behaviour to help slow the spread of the disease, prevent the NHS from being overwhelmed, and ultimately save lives. The way everyone can do this is by following the Government's advice and staying at home. Following the Prime Minister's announcement on Monday evening (23 March), people will only be allowed to take part in one form of exercise per day like a walk, run or cycle alone or with members of your household.

Two weeks ago, we were so excited for the installation of the new floodlights on court 5 and now we must close them. But, the courts will still be here and ready for play when it is totally safe for us all to do so, in the meantime we need to make sure that we all stay healthy and follow the guidelines.

We want to this time to appreciate our coaching staff: Steve, Simon, Jazzamay, Mike and Guy - who are all self employed. We are so proud of the our coaching team, you truly are the best group of coaches and you all do so much to support the club. We know that this is going to be a very difficult time for you all but we will be back very soon and judging by what I have eaten in the past week - we will need to take plenty of tennis lessons!!

We have many members at PTC that work for the NHS and we want to thank them very much for all your amazing efforts and hard work during this critical time.

Please stay safe and I'll see you all on court very soon.
