Some smashing news to report from the Club's very own Rachel Prudden:

Sunday's match was set to be a nailbiter as Pershore Ladies A needed a 3-1 win to win the league and Madley needed a 3-1 win to avoid relegation.

The Pershore ladies took full advantage of the clay courts and sliced their way to a 2-0 head start with a 6-1 6-4 win for Rachel Prudden and Michelle Collings against the first pair, and a 6-0 4-6 6-3 win for Sarah McCormick and Bev Morris against the second pair.

After a short intermission round two got underway and once again Pershore took both rubbers with a 6-2 6-7 6-3 win for Sarah and Bev over the firsts and a 6-2 6-3 win for Rachel and Michelle over the seconds.

This result means that Pershore Ladies A are the H&W Ladies Winter Division 1 Champions!!
