Midlands County Tour

Pershore players Samuel Rayner and Jack Hingley were on court in the 16u Midlands County tour event (grade 4), under the Fast4 tennis format, at the weekend.

Futures player Samuel Rayner ended 2019 on a positive note, finishing as runner up played.  As described by his Dad, Pete:

Sam started well winning his Quarter Final 4-1 4-1 , he backed that win up with a strong performance winning his semi final 4-3 4-1 against former Pershore player Bertie Clarke. In the final Sam lost 4-2 4-1 in a well fought match v Csonga Mar from Warwickshire. This was Sam's 1st singles final in 15 months and his 1st since he was diagnosed with HSP disease last December (missing 6 months of competition)  he can look ahead with positivity for 2019 and put HSP behind him.

In the same competition , fellow Pershore player Jack, won the consolation draw.

Well played boys! Go Pershore!
