Introducing Andy Robinson

My name is Andy Robinson and I have recently become the Welfare Officer at Pershore Tennis Centre. I have taken over from Charlie Matthews who has carried out the role for a number of years. Our thanks go to Charlie for all his work over the previous years.

A little bit about me.....I am a new member to the club after coming back to the sport following a very long gap due to injury. My Son, William plays in the juniors and has done for a while now, I also have another son, Oscar who I hope will also play tennis when he turns 5 in the summer. I joined the Pershore Tennis Centre committee at the end of last year, myself and Dean Stanbury are sharing the role of Juniors Chairman, we are both really looking forward to getting stuck in organising various socials and events for the junior members of the club.

You may have noticed an email in your inbox from the Centre Manager Dan Hibberd regarding Safeguarding at PTC. Sadly, this email has beaten me to my introductions but hopefully you haven't already completed the questionnaire.

You may or may not be aware that PTC have various Policies that are available to view via the website. The Safeguarding Policy is to ensure that the club is operating in a way that is consistent with it's values and goals and is working within the LTA safeguarding standards. You can find the Policy in it's entirety on the website or via clicking the link -safeguarding-policy 2023.docx (live.com). Please note the Welfare Officer is still shown as Charlie Matthews, we are in the process of having this updated.

If you require any further information about Safeguarding or Welfare or have any issues with this subject at the club, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can get in touch via email at juniors@pershoretennis.co.uk or you can speak to Dan or any of the coaches at the club and a message can be passed to me and I will get in touch. I have attached a photo so you can also easily identify me at the club if you need to.
