After more than forty years as a member of Pershore Tennis Club, Sue Gooderham has hung up her racquet - by Chris Woodcock.

Sue joined the club in 1976 and has played regularly ever since. Her husband Graham joined after retiring in 1988 and has not long ago stopped playing. Both sons, Chris and Ian were also members, so the whole family have had a long association with the club.

To mark the occasion and to thank Sue for organising regular weekly groups of tennis for many years, her friends gathered to enjoy a delicious tea in the club house and a special tennis court cake, filled with strawberries and cream, baked by Pamela Collins.
