A great day!

40 women from many different Clubs across the County took part; all dressed in pink, to support the Charity. Together, they raised the magnificent sum of £988.

There was play on both the indoor and outdoor courts, followed by a hot lunch, donated puddings and a fundraising raffle. Afterwards, the semi-finals and final were played with the eventual winners being Jo Skym and Jo Watson from Stourbridge. Kate Fardon and Pamela Collins won the sweepstake.

Jane Warner, Tournament Director at the local Club, has hosted the fundraiser for the Campaign for the third year in a row and was delighted with the amount of women involved, including Fiona Charny; Chair of Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.

A big thank you to all involved and especially Sarah McCormick; Chair of Pershore Tennis Centre, and Ginny Lowe for their help with the organisation and food, Pam Schermuly and Catherine Griffin for their help on the day; all of whom made puddings and donated raffle prizes.

"A great day today raising money for 'The Haven' at Worcestershire Breast Unit. A full day of tennis with lunch, a raffle and some shopping! Thanks for all the support and for those of you that played 'well done' and for the ladies that came to help 'many thanks'. See you all next year!! Jane, Ginny & Sarah!"
