Pershore won the H&W LTA Davis Cup  in Malvern yesterday!

A match report from Coach, Jazzamay Drew:

"The team consisted Of Captain Jazzamay and players Toby Atkin, Caoimhe Guppy and Alfie Mills.

It was an early start starting with the team warm-up to enable a fast start, as the tournament was run in a fast 4 format.

Caoimhe was first to play against Redditch and started well, winning her singles 4-0. Next was Alfie for his singles match, which he won 4-2, followed by Toby who also won 4-2. Pershore then won the doubles to secure a 5-0 victory over Redditch.

Next up was Manor Park, Caoimhe put in a really strong performance to win 4-0, Alfie had his opponent on the ropes but lost 2-4. Toby also lost his singles 2-4. It all came down to the doubles against Manor Park, which Caoimhe and Toby won, in a tight doubles 4-3 to beat Manor Park 3-2.

Pershore’s last match of the day was against Droitwich, Caoimhe and Alfie both won their singles to put Pershore 2-1 ahead, so again it was all down to the doubles - in which Caoimhe and Toby secured victory, to beat Droitwich 4-1.
