October 2018 saw the first Annual Vintage Tennis Open Tournament held at Pleshey Tennis Club.  With 8 contestants in costume ranging from 1910-1980's styles - including McEnroe, Fred Perry, Evert-Lloyd - and playing with wooden racquets, the knockout tournament with rotating pairs took place under beautiful clear blue skies.

The eventual winners Kevin and Fi recovered brilliantly after slipping behind  by 5 games to win a tie break against Louise and Simon. Their names now proudly adorn the winners trophy.
