As this was the last match of the season, the girls wanted to make an all out effort to put on a good show and true to their word, they did not disappoint.

The match started with the doubles and this proved to be very exciting indeed. 

Both sets in this match consisted of games with long rallies, lots of deuces and teriffic hitting on both sides. The first set went to a very close & exciting tie break in which Plumpton just lost out by a whisker. The second set was of an even higher standard but again Plumpton succumbed after losing a very closely contested game. 

Final score 6-7, 5-7 to Grasshoppers after almost 1 and a half hours of brutal hitting.

The singles also did not disappoint and despite the very tiring doubles match beforehand, both girls still put on a brave effort against the opposition. 

Sarang won her match 6-2, 6-4 & Erika lost her match 5-7, 2-6

Overall score 2-1 to Grasshoppers.

As with the previous visitors, the parents were not only entertained by the tennis but were very impressed with Plumpton Tennis Club as a whole.
