At long last we were able to play the long delayed Bounceback Tournament Mixed Final on Sunday 25th April. The final pitted Phillipa Webb and George Booth against Mayumi Booth and Tim Moss. The players were welcomed by a small but perfectly socially distanced crowd in April sunshine albeit with a cold bite to the wind. Obviously it was different to the normal finals day huge crowds that we woudl have expected to throng onto Greyhound Meadow to cheer on their favourites but the dedicated fans did their very best to create a genuine finals day feeling.

In a very tight match with some excellent teasing rallies Mayumi and Tim just managed to get home ahead of Phillipa and George. Many thanks to Peter, Lizzie and Maria for their excellent organisation of the tournament which of course should have been completed in December. We look forward to planning for the 2021 club championship shortly.
