RLTC Ladies 1st and 2nd Teams v Surbiton - ONE DRAW & ONE WIN

Both our Ladies teams played matches against Surbiton last Sunday August 20th.

The 2nd team played the first match on Surbition’s beautiful grass show courts, all 4 rubbers were hard-fought with both pairs beating Surbiton’s 2nd pair and our 2nd pair having a very close match with Surbition’s 1st pair, losing only in the tie-break.  After nearly four hours on court the match ended in a draw. The 1st team’s match was also close, with all but one rubber going to a deciding tie-break - and Richmond winning two out of three. The 4th rubber was won more easily by Vanessa and new team player Bettina.  Congratulations on an overall 3:1 win to Laura & Anne, Vanessa & Bettina.
