Update on Court Availability and Coaching due to storm damage to the court fencing.

We are extremely sorry, but we have had to close Court 1 at the club until further notice.  This is due to the damage to the perimeter fence caused by the storm over New Year.  We have been in contact with the Council and are awaiting confirmation as to when the fence can be mended.  There is a slight delay in this due to personnel being on holiday, and the amount of work that the fencing contractors have due to the storms.

In the meantime, we can confirm that the status of this week’s sessions:

• Wednesday night Match Practice – this session is limited to one court and will be for invited players who are playing in the next match.  Please do not turn up unless you have been contacted by Mihály or Veronica.
• Thursday morning ladies social (09:30 to 11:00) – Gill Pletcher will contact players with an update.  The normal session will not run.
• Thursday evening Improvers (18:30 to 19:30) – this session will run as normal.
• Thursday night club night (19:30 to 21:00) – This session is cancelled
• Friday lunchtime Intermediate (13:00 to 14:30) – this session will run as normal.
• Friday evening’s youth group (19:00 to 20:30) – this session will run as normal.
• All Saturday sessions will run as normal. 
• The American tournament will run on 3 courts only.

There will be a further update at the weekend for sessions running next week.

In the meantime, if anyone wants to help in cleaning the courts please contact Veronica on 07711 077045.  Alternatively, please come to the club on Saturday morning where we can provide a broom etc. (and tea and coffee!!).

Once again, our apologies for the disruption to the club’s activities.  We are working hard to get the courts back to normal as soon as possible.
