On Saturday 24th July, Ross Tennis Centre hosted another She Rallies Fun Day. The She Rallies Course was designed by Judy Murray to encourage the participation of girls and women in the game of tennis and was provided free of charge. Several volunteer members of Ross Tennis Centre had been on the training course and were thrilled to have thirteen girls and women attend the afternoon.
There were several stations, drills, fun team games and all of the activities were designed to improve hand-eye co-ordination, balance, anticipation and the correct contact point. Brightly coloured balloons, scarves, balls, buckets and beanbags kept the activities stimulating. The volunteers were encouraging and ensured everyone worked at a level appropriate to them.
“That was brilliant”, said a 6-year-old player as cake and strawberries were served. “The day could not have been better”, said Val Davies the organiser. “It was so good to see everyone learning and having fun. I am very grateful to the volunteers who have helped today”.
