On Sunday 8th January Ross Ladies A team met the Worcester B team at home. The conditions were awful, with a strong wind and rain!  Playing first pair for Ross were Sandy Foulkes and Manda Keirnan who made short work of the second pair only dropping three games.

Meanwhile a lack of first serves cost the second pair Val Davies and Ginny Higgins who lost a lead and the match 4-6, 3-6.  After a warm cuppa, the eight ladies took to court for the second match.  This time Ginny and Val’s first serve percentage was better and they took the match in a tie-break against the Worcester first pair. 

On court two Manda and Sandy lost the first set but were ultimately victorious in the match tie-break.  Team captain Karen Vitale was delighted with the 3-1 win for Ross, with one more match to go in the Winter season.  Thanks to Manda for stepping in at short notice, a good result!
