Coaching
Our coaching programme is led by our coach Andy Gray, who was recently awarded Avon Coach of the year and was a National finalist in the category.
Andy is a LTA level 3 qualified tennis coach who has been coaching for 8 years. He started by volunteering at his local tennis club in Backwell at the age of 16, and has progressed by gaining his coaching, first aid and safeguarding qualifications. Andy has recently graduated from Exeter University where he studied Sport and Exercise Science. By working at Saltford tennis club he is looking to improve his coaching experience, whilst offering his knowledge of tennis and sport science to its members.
Our coaching programme covers Monday to Saturday during school term time and we try to provide something for everyone- all ages and all abilities.
We also have a fitness session which is open to everyone and you don't need to be really fit or an experienced player to enjoy the session.
The term timetable is summarised below:
MONDAYS
- 5-6pm Junior Group 1 (11-16 year olds)
- 6-7pm Junior Group 2 (11-16 year olds)
WEDNESDAYS
- 10-10:45am Walking Tennis Group 1
- 4:45-5:30pm Mini Orange Improvers (6-8 year olds)
- 5:30-6:15pm Mini Orange Intermediates (8-10 year olds)
- 6:15-7pm Mini Green (10-12 year olds)
- 7-8pm Adult Improvers
- 8-9pm Adult Rusty Rackets
THURSDAYS
- 10-10:45am Walking Tennis Group 2
- 10:45-11:30am People with Parkinson’s Tennis Group
FRIDAYS
- 9-9:30am Toddlers Group 1 (2-4 Year olds)
- 9:30-10am Toddlers Group 2 (2-4 Year olds)
- 3:15-4:15pm Saltford School Lessons (KS2) (Excluding 4th July)
SATURDAYS
- 10-10:45am Mini Green Improvers (10-12 year olds)
- 10:45-11:30am Mini Orange (7-9 year olds)
- 11:30-12:30pm Junior Improvers (11-16 year olds)
- 12:30-1:15pm Mini Reds (4-6 year olds)
- 1:15-2pm Inclusive Tennis (4-16 year olds)

Children can join individually as minis under 10 year (£21) and juniors 11-16 years (£31) as well as great offers on family membership with children free. PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN YOU CREATE A CHILD MEMBER, you will first need to create an ADULT LTA member and then once all adult details are entered, you then enter the CHILD details.
