Saltford LTC Mixed Singles Box League 

Interested in singles tennis play? We are organising an internal box league at Saltford tennis club. This is mixed and for everyone in the club – no matter the standard – to get involved in playing more singles tennis. Sign up below! 

Each round of the league will last around 2 months and matches will take place in a round robin style where everyone plays against everyone else. Depending on the numbers we may have multiple groups organised into divisions – if so we’ll explain how that works once signups are complete. 

Basic Format and Rules 

* Matches are best of 3 sets, the 1st and 2nd sets are standard sets with the final set being a 10-point tiebreak. If both players agree to play a full deciding set, they can 

* You score 1 point for every set you win (including championship tie-break) and both players receive 1 point for completing the match. Thus the winner of a match gets 3 points and the losing player gets 1 or 2 points 

* Players are responsible for organising their own matches between each other 

* The league is free for club members, players just need to bring their own balls
