Partners were drawn from the hat wonderfully conducted by Kristine’s daughter Leah although the husband and wife pairing of Ian and Sue Ratford caused a degree of consternation. To keep the tennis moving the fast four format was used which guaranteed everyone at least four group matches, with the top six pairs overall moving into the knock out stages.
