The Club's summer tournament on Saturday 20th July attracted an entry of 16 competitive players. Three round robins were followed by a closely-fought final, with Kevin Wick and Debbie Hill-Brookes taking Damian Hill-Brookes and Vanessa Spring to a tie-break. Damian and Vanessa triumphed and were awarded the Wheatley Mixed Doubles Challenge Cup by club chair Cat Knight.

Meanwhile the top four lady runners-up played a doubles final, with Ann Howard and Deidre Miller the victors.

Afterwards all made for the Pavilion to enjoy a well-deserved spread of refreshments with Pimms provided by members of the committee.
