We are looking for a new coach!

Southsea Tennis Club Head-Coach

Southsea Tennis Club, which is located just off the seafront in Southsea, is looking for a tennis coach accredited to a minimum of LTA Level 3 to lead the tennis development at the Club. A minimum of 3 years coaching experience is required.

The role is for a part time self-employed coach who can help develop the game at all levels of the Club, from minis to youth through to adult and vets.

The successful applicant must be able to deliver a mix of programmes to include individual lessons, group lessons, and school sessions.

The successful applicant will be a self-motivator who will be invited to join the club committee and help with running the Club and developing its vision

The Club itself is a vibrant community-based Club with 4 Astroturf courts, 4 hard courts, floodlights and a hitting wall, and encompasses a lively independent café. The Club has strong links to several local schools in the area, has over 140 members and is committed to encouraging tennis among members of the local community through Pay&Play

The Club is run by a committee of volunteers with the coach reporting to the Chair of the Club via the Tennis Forum, a sub-group of the committee which takes responsibility for all aspects of tennis provision at the Club.

The position is available immediately as the existing coach is undertaking a career change.
