Orange: For those in year 4 to year 5 at school with a focus on developing the fundamental skills learnt in red ball by using a higher pressured ball compared to red ball but still modified to maximise technique development. This aligns with the LTA Youth Orange programme to ensure progress is maximised. This age group play on a modified court (around two thirds the size of a full size court). Green: For those in year 5 to year 7 at school where players use a lower pressured ball compared to the adult yellow ball, but this age group play on a full size court in line with the LTA Youth Green programme. This age group focus on fine tuning core skills and addressing key misconceptions and are introduced to the tactical elements of the game before progressing to yellow ball.
