Game Situations

Both Back -

Players are both back rallying / defending / attacking from the baseline . 

Come to the Net -

One player approaches the net and uses the volleys to defend / rally / attack. Ultimatle players come into to build or finish the point or because they retrieveing a drop shot

Opponent Approaching the Net -

Opponent come to the net and you have to get the ball past them or over them or just make them pay another volley

Serve 

Starting the point with a good first / second serve percentage and potentially aiming the serve or adding speed or spin to make to harder to return 

Return

Getting the serve back into play with depth or buidling off a weaker serves into space .
