We were very lucky to have beautiful sunny weather for our jazz brunch on 11th June. Thirty-two tennis members with partners and friends munched their way through grilled vegetables, sausages, potato cakes, and baked beans, then pigged out on the irresistable Eton Mess, all accompanied by the delightful music of Steve Gable and The Hatch Band. Thank you to Helen Dye, Jane Goldsworthy, Jane Humphries, Louise Taylor, Marion Diamond and Sue Hall who shopped, prepared, and served (and tidied up afterwards!) the food, and to Colin Spratt and Bob Coomber for their sterling work cooking all to perfection on Bob's amazing BBQ. Some people managed to waddle onto the courts afterwards for tennis, but the heavens opened at around 3.30 - so we missed some tennis but probably gained some pounds!
