COVID-19 – 1st June Update

The government has further relaxed some lockdown guidelines resulting in more tennis activities now being able to resume.

Singles or doubles can now be played with people from outside of your household, but you must follow strict hygiene and social distancing guidelines as outlined in the LTA guidelines: https://www.lta.org.uk/about-us/tennis-news/news-and-opinion/general-news/2020/march/coronavirus-covid-19---latest-advice/

Strensall Tennis Club is re-open for use; guests may be permitted to play with members but must adhere to all LTA and club policies. Members are responsible for any guests they bring to the courts.

Memberships are open for the 2020/2021 season and can be found on our website or by contacting us via email or our Facebook page.

It is the responsibility of each playing member and guest to ensure they follow the guidelines and ensure hygiene standards are met. This involves washing your hands before leaving your house to play tennis, and the use of hand sanitiser before and after coming into contact with public areas such as padlocks and gates to access the courts.

The club will endeavour to provide hand sanitiser on the courts for member use where possible, but it is strongly recommended that each player have their own supply with them.

The Clubhouse is available, but only where necessary for access to toilet facilities and floodlight activation.
