Sunday the 18th of September was another good day’s tennis at Studham Tennis Club. Our finals day was a day to remember for all. The sun shone, the tennis was played in good spirits and the spectators stayed all day.

We must thank Barry Arbury and Terry Groom for yet another splendid barbeque and big thanks to Sally Thorne for organising a very well-run competition.

The final thanks are to you, our members, and competitors all of whom concluded a memorable summer’s tennis and occasion last Sunday. Play started at 10.30 and the final game finished at 6.00pm. Special awards for stamina should be given to our Chairperson Linda who seemed to be on court all day appearing in no less than 4 finals and to Sarah Thompson who participated in three!

On completion of the last game, we retired to the Sports and Social club where our President Nick Jones presented awards to the finalists.
