Dear members
Here are the highlights from November:
Juniors: Autumn Club & Coach part 2 has kicked off, with 11 juniors signing up and the session running with Head Coach Adrian and Assistant Coach Dylan. So far only 1 session has been interrupted by bad weather but well done Adrian & Dylan for keeping the kids entertained in the clubhouse!
Membership: Still going strong, we have signed up 1 new adult and 3 new juniors this month.
Tennis comps: A big thank you to Ping who has volunteered to run a mixed doubles competition on Saturday 19th January from 10.30am. There will be an entry fee which will include access to the “Sausage sizzle” event.. Please look out for further updates on this – you can enter as a pair or an individual.
Social: Don & Becky Brown hosted a great Wine Tasting event on 17th November which was enjoyed by 18 tasters. A big thank you to them as the evening was a massive hit with everyone. I will be sending out the proposed social calendar for 2019 in December as some of these events will require early booking, so please keep a look out.
Coming up in December: Please remember it’s the Christmas Party next Sunday, 9th from midday. Please do come along and have a drink and some nibbles. Members only as this will also be an EGM to include a vote on the proposed rebranding to SHTPC.
Wimbledon Ballot: Another reminder on Steve Hainsworth’s email, we need you to “opt in” to gain as many tickets for the ballot – please refer to the attached guidelines but please note, pétanque members CAN ALSO OPT IN but it is necessary to click on the “KP” symbol, top right, to get to your homepage.
