Covid-19 May update

The Tadcaster Tennis Committee met on 12 May 2020 to review the LTA guidance issued following the changes to Government guidance.  The committee has decided that restricted tennis playing for members can commence at the club from Saturday 16 May.  This will be on the basis that members play at their own risk, and that they will adhere to Government guidelines, the LTA guidance and the measure put in place by the committee to comply with current guidelines.  These can be summarised as follows:

·Read the LTA guidance here – this advises you on using your own equipment, maintaining social distance.  Our kitchen and toilet block is currently closed to club members;

·Use our online booking system –https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/TadcasterTennisClub/Booking you will only be able to use a court if you make a booking.  Only two courts will be available, 1 top court and the bottom court;

·Follow club guidance when arriving, using and leaving the club – use the hand sanitizer gel at the club after opening the gate lock, only enter the courts via gate onto the grass, do not use the gate adjacent to the clubhouse, do not touch any other gates or nets;

·Stay up to date – social distancing rules will change therefore, please check out our Facebook page and the LTA website for updates.

We also wanted to remind you that under our safeguarding policy children are not allowed at the club without adult supervision.  One adult only is allowed to supervise children on each court.

We also wanted to update you about the coaching available.  Please see the attached link from our coachingteam.
