Macmillan coffee morning
The Macmillan Biggest Coffee Morning in the World event was held in the clubhouse on Thursday 29th September and despite indifferent weather there was a very reasonable turnout.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Richmond, both keen tennis players, joined us for well over an hour and were impressed with the club and its facilities.

As ever there was a tombola (the Mayoress won a litre bottle of Gordon's gin!), second hand book stall and garden produce stall, and along with the coffee and cakes over £400 was donated on the day.

First aid course
On Friday 30th September, we were visited by a training officer from the London ambulance service who provided training on resuscitation and how to effectively use our defibrillator to eight club members.

All those who attended agreed it was a very useful session and recognised how crucial use of the defib can be in cardiac arrest situations.

We can arrange further training sessions if members are interested – please email andy@king-fit.com if you are.
