Curry Cup: The Youngsters Pull One Back

Teddington rounded off it's 2018 with its tri-annual Curry Cup event which saw two sessions of Under 30's players take on the Over 30's in a battle to determine the victor, for this month at least.

The Over 30's went into the last dual of the year with a 2-0 lead so it was pride at stake for the golden generation.

The first session saw the Oldies snatch it 18 points to 12 which meant the Under 30's had some work to do in the all important second session.  Sensationally, the second session was won 22-8 by the youngsters which meant that, in total, overall, the Under 30's had grabbed the win by 34 points to 26.

The weather was the worst we have had for what seems like about 8 months, the wind swirling and the rain pounding. There have certainly been better conditions for tennis but everyone dug in and braved it out, soaked through or not.

A big thank you to Anthony, Kate and Jonny for various organisational necessities and to everybody who came down and took part. We also would like to thank our sponsors H & L who provided a winning voucher for one of the lucky participants, as well as to Prem for providing great curry as always.

Let's see who will triumph in 2019 - have a great Christmas.
